Achivements
MERI has provided technically sound and economically viable solutions to many field problems, in the state and also to some other states, e.g. Assam, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir. MERI has been consulted for hydraulic model studies of Salma Project in Afghanistan and the Ouled Melouk Dam in Algeria.
The research personnel of MERI have contributed research papers to technical and scientific journals of national and international repute. Many of these papers have been awarded Best Research Paper prizes by CBIP and Institution of Engineers. Three papers have been awarded Gold Medals.
A patent has been granted by Government of India for the Chemical Grout developed by MERI.
The Material Testing Division laboratory of MERI has been approved by DGS&D, Government of India for "National Test House" since 1990.
2000T compressive strength testing machine in this laboratory to test large size concrete / UCR / colgrout cores is the only one available in Central India.
